Explore Mid Wales

Mid Wales is a paradise for lovers of the outdoors. Whether it’s walking, cycling, fishing, birdwatching, pony trekking or simply soaking in the views – there’s something here for everyone. Offa’s Dyke Path and Glyndŵr’s Way are both within easy reach, and the area is crisscrossed with scenic routes and trails.

We’re under 5 miles from the charming Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells, and less than 8 miles from both Rhayader and Builth Wells – home of the iconic Royal Welsh Showground. Each town offers independent shops, cosy cafés, and local character in abundance.

A Sky Full of Stars

Situated just outside an International Dark Sky Reserve, our location is perfect for stargazing. After sunset, the sky transforms into a sparkling display of constellations – best enjoyed from the warmth of your private hot tub or wrapped up on the garden deck. It’s one of the magical touches that makes a stay at Cwm yr Hendy truly unforgettable.
