Mid Wales is synonymous with its walking offer, there are hills, valleys, rivers and spectacular views on offer either all on your doorstep or a few feet away, It is a great place for walking, cycling, fishing, bird watching, pony trekking, sightseeing and visiting museums and art galleries.
Offa’s Dyke Path and Glyndwr Way national trails are within easy driving access of the lodges, it is less than 5 miles to the attractive Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells and under 8 miles to the market town of Rhayader or Builth Wells (home of the Royal Welsh Showground) , both having an interesting array of small shops, cafés and restaurants.
Cwm yr Hendy is just a few miles outside of an international dark skies reserve meaning that once the sun goes down you are treated to a pitch black dark starry sky.
An evening spent either in the luxurious hot tubs or wrapped up warm in the comfortable gardens watching the constellations appear is a guaranteed highlight for your holiday.
